REVIEW: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Chewing gum is really gross, chewing gum I hate the most!
Willy Wonka holds a worldwide contest to select 5 children with whom he plan to leave his chocolate empire to. Johnny Depp plays Willy Wonka, an eccentric choco-empire lord. Depp yet again plays a weird role in this film. Looking back, all the Depp movies I’ve seen features him as something of a weirdo. Blah! Who cares? I still like the way he carries peculiar roles. I’ve never seen a Depp film that I didn’t like. Anyway, his latest movie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a movie that warms the heart. There are several instances of wit and humor in the movie. Apart from theheart-warming storyline, one will just feel the urge to stuff chocolate in his mouth [just like I did], after seeing the film.
Cab of the Day: Boy Rusty [TVF 635]
Cool as ice. This is the only thing that I can think of when I remember the cab driver. Never mind that he drives a beat-up Mitsubishi Lancer. Never mind that his airconditioning cannot be considered airconditioning at all. What matters is that he is a jolly, law abiding, good-hearted person. Why, he even gave me the exact change when I paid the fare! ![]()
