Review: Final Fantasy VII Advent Children
Finally saw Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children. Damn, two hours never passed by so quickly. I had the same experience with the Star Wars Trilogy, and the Matrix Trilogy. It was like sitting in front of the screen, and then the next thing you know it was over. I don’t think I even blinked, much more breathed.

The story focuses on Cloud Strife, the hero of the Final Fantasy 7 game, and starts on the new found world, two years after that big-ass rock (remember?) almost crushed Midgar. Yes, we saved Midgar and the world, but now it is once again threated by Geostigma, the Star Scar Syndrome, which is slowly killing the world’s population and the planet itself. Of course, Cloud shows up, kills Bahamut with the help of his friends, partially kills Loz and Yazoo, battles with Sephiroth (reborn though Kadaj), kills Sephiroth and then finally saves the world again. *sigh* Really simple and direct to the point.

The soundtrack was the best, although I think there were parts of the movie where other songs should have been selected. Remember that part where “Kadaj” and Cloud fought (just before Sephiroth was reborn)? Something from Mudvayne or Disturbed would have done a good job in adding excitement to the fight scene. But you know, looking back, the movie tended to just consume your entire concentration, thereby rendering you indifferent to your surroundings. Guess where I watched the movie…
My Rating: Get A Copy, WATCH IT!
