Sofie’s split personality (Linux Ubuntu), is giving me headaches. Eet eez not connecteeeng weeeed Dialup.

Blah!

Can anyone tell me what’s wrong with it?

    pwahaha. the thing with linux is... every farking configuration is secured. All firewalls are on. All gates are closed. PWAHAHA. ^_^ The best advice anyone can give to any Linux user is...

    i'm guessing you ran the dialer when you were logged in, not as a root user, but an ordinary user. i would suggest you study sudo and add your user to sudo's list. hehehe....you have a lot of reading ahead of you my friend. :mrgreen:

    bwehehe! actually i as logged in as the root user. :P in fact, i'm the only user. :lol: i solved the problem by adding check carrier = no .
