Blog: On Fat People, Dieting, and Liposuction

If you think you’re fat, please take time to click on this link just so you know how I see fat.

Obesity sucks! I have a friend who’s a comfort eater, meaning whenever he gets depressed, (lonely, confused, angry, etc.) he eats to comfort himself. Its amazing how much he has gained weight already. I remember that there was one time when his blood pressure was so damn high that he couldn’t eat anything he wanted to (and he likes a lot of different kinds of food).

People shouldn’t have to be fat. Being fat (again, fat in my vocabulary is this) is a curse. It’s a big problem not only to self-esteem, but to motor skills as well.

I’ve gained several pounds since I started working. My waistline grew from 28 inches to 34 inches. I’m not as thin as I was, that’s for sure. I noticed that doing my shoelaces requires a lot more effort, I easily tire even if I hadn’t done anything heavy, and I sweat a lot more than I used to.

There aren’t that many fat people in this country, but I saw in Supersize Me how Americans grow oh so fat. This explains why the liposuction business is booming around the world.

I’ve read that Beverly Hills liposuction is one of the most sought after procedures by both men and women. While I don’t give a fcuk if one undergoes liposuction, I do not believe that this should be the answer for fat people. Proper dieting (isn’t discipline the better word?), exercise, and a balanced diet (among other solutions) is simply the best way out; but if you think otherwise, then fuckit. Do what you want. :D

I'm fat (by the ordinary Filipino's standards), but I seem to be sexy in your dictionary. :p But you're right: it does not affect just self-esteem/confidence/etc, but also motor skills. I personally won't go under the knife. I have the discipline, I just don't like to exercise it. LOL.

PS: Di ako high blood. Naalala ko lang yung dati mong tanong hehe. ;)

Being fat does have its perks. Fat people float better!! And their internal organs are quite cushioned; it's like they've got built-in airbags!!!

With a waistline of 30, I'm far from fat. The thing is, my blood pressure is abnormally high. Years back it could shoot up to 150/90. And I was just 14 back then.

In my line of work, lipo and other cosmetic procedures are very much the norm especially since TV does not wait for you to slim down and get fit.

It's just sad because though these procedures do make people pretty and sexy fast, they are just temporary. Oftentimes, they find themselves going back for seconds and thirds whenever their body returns to the way it used to be.

Discipline coupled with a healthy self-esteem is still the best the way to go because then the effects are real and long-lasting.

Show-Emder: Awww~ your waistline's definitely smaller than mine, although your BP's waaaaay up, aren't you taking anything to curb that? feed: Anorexic I think. :) Hayme: I definitely agree *nods* :)

That's when I started gorging on garlic. I'd come to school with a big-ass bottle of garlic chips, and by dismissal time, "nangamoy italyano yung classroom!!" Mama Mia!!!

Yeah being obese affects your motor skills and basically your self esteem... Madali kang napapagod... You're gushing for air more than the mesomorphs... The funny thing lang is some obese people wants liposuction rather than exercising and dieting... For me, it won't do no good! Papayat ka nga pero ang rythm ng heart mo is still irregular kasi embolus and thrombuses are still inside of your heart's valves...

Shut your mouth and move your body.....How hard can it be?

Well, That was a bit harsh....But its simple and a good place to start if you want to lose weight.
