Review: Deathnote
Holy crap! After publishing my last post, I just saw L, the protagonist in Tsugumi Ohba’s Death Note.
Check out the comparison:

The guy on the left is Ken’ichi Matsuyama who portrayed “L” in the movie adaptation of the popular manga, anime, and novel, while the guy on the right is just, well, some guy in a google ad.
Look closely. Don’t they look alike? LOL. It like one of them had a Chicago face lift or something. I don’t really care which one. LOL.
Let’s talk about Death Note - デスノート, Desu NÅ?to.
Did you know that Death Note is available in Anime, Novel, Manga, Video Game, and Film? Yup. It seems to have become so popular that it was banned in some schools in Shenyang China because apparently some student altered their notebooks to resemble a Death Note and wrote names in them. LOL. It was also banned in Beijin in order to protect the “physical and mental health” of students.
The movie’s first release in Japan in June 2006 topped the box office for two weeks and pushed The Da Vinci Code into second place. The Release of the second Movie in November 2006 topped the box office for four weeks, grossing 5.5 billion yen by the end of the year.
Believe it or not, Iron Chef’s Chairman Kaga is in the film. Yup yup!
I don’t want to type in the plot, so I’ll do the Rules of the Death Note instead:
Rules
1. The human whose name is written in this note shall die.
2. This not
e will not take effect unless the writer has the subject’s face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.
3. If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the subject’s name, it will happen.
4. If the cause of death is not specified, the subject will simply die of a heart attack.
5. After writing the cause of death, the details of the death should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
And so, having read the rules dear reader, I have a question for you. If you inherited a Death Note, what will you do with it?
Will you do as Light Yagami did?
Will you give it back to the Shinigami?
Will you sell it on Ebay?
LOL~
L is so fucking cool man~ I just don’t know how he manages to live with his diet of sweets. He looks like he doesn’t get sugar high.
Overall, I say that this is one of the best anime/manga/anime-film ever. The movie’s real good and is very faithful to the manga. The manga has great quality and is readily available all over the internet. You may google Deathnote and find a wealth of information on the topic. Your call.

I like the anime better. After 5 minutes of watching the movie, I went to bed. Didn't like it.
