The EVIL rel=nofollow and what to do in order to remove it

New to Wordpress? No idea what DoFollow is? Then read on!

Several days ago, I installed the DoFollow plugin for Wordpress. What this nifty little plugin does is that it removes the uber-evil nofollow attribute from your comments.

rel=nofollow < -- EVIL!!!

Google is planning on announcing support for rel=nofollow tag on individual A links. Any link with this tag will indicate to a crawler it is not necessarily approved by this page and shouldn’t be followed nor contribute weight for ranking. source: X X

Why remove this EVALLLLL nofollow attribute?
1. for SEO purposes: website popularity is measured with the number of links to the site
2. share the love with your readers and commenters by allowing them to link to their sites from your site
3. I’m a good man. I’m not selfish.

How to remove the evil rel=nofollow attribute:
1. download any nofollow plugin that you want
2. extract and upload the plugin to your wp-plugins directory via FTP
3. go to your wordpress plugin page
4. activate the plugin

Currently, I’m using the dofollow plugin from Semilogic. You may download the file here. It’s been great that almost all the blogs I comment in have removed the evil nofollow attribute If you haven’t installed it yet, you may want to install it now, so you could return the link love that you’ve been getting.

You can also choose from several dofollow plugins at the wp-plugins.net site.
