Long Awaited Blog Post
It’s been a looooooooong time since I last posted something worth reading. It’s been really hectic at work with the pressure and all, but the numbers are coming in and so far, we’ve been doing okay (but could definitely be better).
I don’t have weekends off for a whole month, and probably until the year ends, so boo.
Thursday’s the official barkada night out day so we met at Brothers @ Teacher’s Village (not Brother’s Burger) and talked about stuff and updated each other on our professional and personal lives. Their menu was helluva funny. They had weird names for their food, but I guess it was part of their scheme to attract more people. The place was a string of mini drinking spots. I’m guessing that it’s owned by one person, so there. We finished about 6 buckets of beer plus a lot of food. I felt a bit weird because M was away (she’s in the US taking up Culinary Arts, but will be back in December). Still we managed (amishu Nyuy!) and overall, it was fun as expected.

L and J went home at about 11 pm while S, C, F and I went to Quattro at Timog. S and C recommended that we try the Bibingka there so off we went. C was drunk and started with the usual lait blues so we laughed our asses off as usual. 20 minutes after ordering they served the much awaited Bibingka - piping hot and uber yummy. S and C had the macho mug while F and I had the Bibingka and just water: too full for more beer. LOL. We chatted a bit before leaving for home. We were tired but both F and I had a great time and we went to sleep with a smile on our lips.

Friday, F left before 7 am for work. I dozed off for a few more minutes, trying to fight the urge to start the day with a PlayStation 2 game. Of course I gave in, I mean, who am I to resist such a tempting treat? LOL. I switched off the TV and the video game console at around 1 pm because I had to meet C at the Robinson’s Galleria. I was planning to get Tunnels while C was planning to have her ear pierced. An hour and a half later (a big fuck you to the MMDA Traffic Enforcers who cause more traffic, rather than lessening it) I arrived at the Mall. After a quick trip from the money machine, I met with C at Gene Testa’s Shop. Gene’s been doing all the recent ink I have. C was disappointed because of the pricing of her piercing so she opted not to get it there. I was informed that they didn’t do Tunnels either so I opted to have my lip pierced. I wasn’t planning on going home un-pierced so check out the pic!

After the lip piercing event, C and I walked around and found a shop that charged way less for her piercing. She had the upper portion and the lower portion of her right ear pierced. Here’s the pic:

We had coffee at Gloria Jean’s after the whole piercing shenanigan. I laughed at C because her ear was red and looked like a piece of tocino. LOL. When we got tired of the cigarettes and coffee, we went back inside for an arcade game. I played a round of Tekken 5, but got tired of it after a few rounds. We had a quick meal at KFC and then walked all the way to the Mega Mall to meet F. We dropped by the Toy Kingdom where C picked up a Barkada Trip toy, then went straight to Starbucks.
We hung out at Starbucks at the Mega Strip and bored ourselves to death while waiting for F. After about 30 minutes (around 5:30pm), we decided to go inside and buy some stuff. I wanted to check if there were new titles for the PS2. We also bought a few stuff at Comic Alley- mostly Naruto keychains.

Cholo texted me and told me that he was coming to the mall to pick up his plane ticket to Iloilo. We agreed to meet there. C said that L asked if we could get her a bottle of Cuervo Tequila so we trotted to the supermarket and went back to Starbucks. F finally arrived after two and a half hours. We had dinner at Hap Chang. We ordered the Lemon Chicken, Shark’s Fin Dumpling, a couple of Hakaos (Steamed Shrimp Dumpling), 2 batches of Yang Chao Rice, and the Brocolli in Oyster Sauce. To be honest, I’m not really a fan of plants (veggies, but I call them plants), but I really like brocolli. It was a good meal. C was winded out and wanted to go home so we parted ways there. F wanted to get drunk the night. Friday being party night, so we agreed and walked all the way to the Sidebar cafe. Cholo and I had a few bottles, while F had tequila. It was pushing 12am when we decided to call it a night. Woke up early the next day and prepared for yet another week of haggardams at work. LOL.
There you go! A long-assed piece for people waiting for blog updates. Thanks to everyone who tagged me, I promise, the next post will be yours!
